Gary A. Garza offers a distinctive skill set to assist financial institutions, banks and courts with structuring and disposition of non-performing commercial and residential property portfolios.  He has extensive and varied managerial experience in all aspects of the real estate industry from relatively simple, individual properties to the more complex.


His experience and knowledge, dating back to the Resolution Trust Corporation, was earned and developed, in part, during the last foreclosure crisis in the late 1980‘s and early 1990’s.  During his tenure with Great Western Financial Corporation - Great Western Bank, he was responsible, in part, for receivership management and oversight of commercial real estate acquisition and disposition activities dealing with regional banking institutions being cleared and/or held by the RTC.  Additionally, Mr. Garza developed working policy and procedures for due-diligence, construction and rehabilitation, purchasing, administration, property management and marketing functions for single-, multi-family residential and commercial properties, still relevant to today’s turbulent real estate conditions.


In his nearly 30 years of business experience in banking, real estate and construction industries, Mr. Garza has overseen the development and management of nearly $1 billion in assets.  His past experience should also highlight his management and administration skills in retail sales, merchandising and light manufacturing where he was responsible for such operations as human resources, sales, marketing, accounting, computer stock-keeping through POS inventory control where his competence resulted in sale revenues in excess of $15 million annually.

 

Mr. Garza is a past member of the California Receivers Forum, has attended Receivership Law and Practice Courses, Loyola Law School/California Receivers Forum, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University at Fresno.  He holds an active California Contractors License - General Engineering Contractor & General Building Contractor, and Real Estate Brokers License.
